Sugaring is a less painful, all natural method of hair removal. Exfoliation is the key to getting the best results during your at-home sugaring hair removal sessions.

In my experience and research, you will get better results from sugaring if you take the time to take care of your skin before and after your sugaring treatments at home. Exfoliation is one of the key ways to keep your skin soft and happy between your hair removal treatments!

Sugaring is a hair removal, or epilation, method that has been used for centuries dating back to ancient Egypt and that beauty guru Cleopatra, Persia, and Arabia! Body Sugaring is just now becoming popular in the states. Overseas, many cultures have used sugaring in one form or another.

Body sugaring works perfectly for all areas of the body - legs, arms, underarms, bikini, upper lip, chin, eyebrows, and toes. Sugaring is:
  • Nourishing to all skin types including those with eczema, psoriasis, even varicose veins.
  • A less painful alternative to waxing or shaving.
  • Is the consistency of thick honey or syrup
  • Light amber in color.
  • Gentler and more nourishing to your skin than shaving or waxing.
  • The denim strips provided are reusable and washable by hand.
Just one of the benefits of using the gentle sugaring wax is that cleanup is very simple! Simple warm water is all you need - NO sticky residue! Sugaring Wax is also nourishing to the skin, leaving you softer than shaving or waxing!

I recommend Sugaring Wax for those individuals whose hairs naturally grow thin, those who have been faithful waxers, and anyone who would like a different, natural alternative to waxing or shaving. Body sugaring works perfectly for all areas of the body - legs, arms, underarms, bikini, upper lip, chin, eyebrows, and toes. If you have not sugared before, it does take a little practice (I strongly recommend watching the tutorial videos provided on my YouTube Channel), but once you get the hang of it, it truly is amazing.

The most common question asked is "Is it painful like waxing in a salon?" The answer is an emphatic NO! Honestly, the pain level will depend on your personal threshold of pain, though in general, the pain level is much less than salon waxing, and just feels like removing a bandage.

How does exfoliation play a role in longer lasting smooth results after sugaring?
You WANT to exfoliate before you perform your sugaring. Exfoliation ensures that your sugar performs at its best, stopping dead skin cells from blocking extraction of the hair follicles. Gently exfoliate before sugaring for a more successful hair removal experience.
Fact: While being spread in the opposite direction of growth, the sugar seeps into your follicles/pores. This action essentially "lubricates" the hair, allowing for gentle extraction.

Sugaring Paste (Firm/Traditional) or Sugaring Wax (Soft/Modern)? Which is right for you?
**For those whose hairs naturally grow thick and dark, or are sugaring beginners, you'll be better matched with the Sugaring Paste.
Exfoliation is the action of gently removing dead or old skin cells from the outermost surface of your skin. The healthiest way to do this is with natural skin products with small granules which rub away the old skin. Exfoliation will bring softer, younger skin cells to the surface. Sugar scrubs are perfect for regular exfoliation in your skincare regimen or maintaining aftercare, your skin will be ready to go.
Sugar scrubs are great for exfoliating off your old dead skin cells and uncovering your new, beautiful skin underneath. A dark and decadent combination of almond oil, brown sugar, vanilla, and honey come together for this homemade sugar scrub. This scrub just might be one of my favorites of all time. While it works wonders as a facial exfoliant and does an excellent job sloughing off dead skin from your body, this almond brown sugar scrub is bound to be your hands’ new best friend.

Apply cornstarch to clean, dry skin after a gentle exfoliation with a non-oily scrub**.
• Warm your sugaring wax ever so slightly, preferably, in a bowl of hot water until the wax has the consistency of syrup or honey*
~Remember it should be somewhat warm, but NEVER hot!
• Always start with clean, exfoliated and dry skin**.
• Apply a thin layer of cornstarch provided (or baby powder).
• Using the applicator provided spread a thin layer of the sugaring wax in the OPPOSITE direction of hair growth in the desired area.
• Apply a denim strip.
•While holding the skin taut, rub the denim piece back and forth creating heat friction. This action ensures the sugaring wax can soak into your pores, coating hair follicles.
• QUICKLY remove the strip pulling in the SAME direction of the hair growth.
*Note: You can use a microwave in 10-second intervals not to exceed 30 seconds.
**It is highly recommended that you exfoliate your skin gently before sugaring.
See? Similar to waxing at a salon, but I would say, well for lack of better words, OPPOSITE and naturally gentle. The results are smoother because the hairs are being pulled in the same direction of growth, removing the follicle bulb AND dead skin cells with it. (Not LIVE skin cells, which happens at times with chemical/resin hot wax.)

A Sugaring Wax Deluxe Starter Kit makes a fabulous gift for a birthday, bachelorette, or any occasion for that brave and naturally inclined woman, man or teen in your life. This product is fantastic for anyone that would like a natural alternative to shaving or waxing without all the expense and hassle of going to the salon.  Gift wrapping is now available as well!
• Follow up with the Natural Almond Vanilla Brown Sugar Scrub for healthy, nourishing aftercare after 48 hours. Exfoliating will prolong the smooth results and ensure minimal chance of ingrown hairs caused by dead skin cells blocking the pores.
See tutorial video for a demonstration of flicking motion.
*It is highly recommended that you gently exfoliate your skin gently before sugaring with a non-oil based exfoliant.
**Detailed instructions are provided.
