Sugar hair removal is not just the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ star celeb of my small business, it also fits my lifestyle of trying to live a green, healthy, chemical-free, holistic, organic, NONGMO homesteading life in the country. We live on a rural farmhouse built in 1903 in TN, hunt, and grow veggies, herbs, flowers all for our diet, personal care, hygiene and medicinal, of course. Living off the land is our way of respecting Mother Nature and her bounty and being eco-friendly.

There are so many benefits to sugaring it still amazes me! No Shave November? Paaashaaww!! I laugh. Bahhahaahaha! I haven’t shaved in years!

I haven’t waxed, shaved, had ingrown hairs, had sensitive skin, razor burn, or stubble. Yep! Like when you get out of the shower after shaving and you get the goosebumps… that’s always a joy! *looks around** Crickets…* y’all know what I’m talking about! It feels like you didn’t shave at all! I don’t get that with sugaring.

My skin is petal soft without:

Picking up a razor (Um..non-degradable waste)
Using chemically concocted shaving creams
Even ones that literally chemically burn the hairs off of your skin
or going to a salon! $$

Helpful Hints and Tricks for Sugaring at home

How much Sugar paste do you use? Use the appropriate sized ball for the area you are sugaring.

The 16 oz SHOULD be enough to do both legs from ankle to above the knee eight times. Let me try to help break it down for you.
Though first, let me address this: your studies/experience/trial and error do play a role in how “many uses” you will get – watch the tutorials, read through the tips and tricks, do your research on the method itself (the spread 1,2,3 flick sugaring method) beforehand so that you are more acclimated with the method and don’t waste the sugar by not performing the method correctly.

OK – so we’re going to break it down:
On the legs, you will want to use a ball about the size of a golf ball which is just about equivalent to 1 oz.
This makes 2 oz just perfect for doing the legs once. (which is why it’s the “trial/sample size”).

So, for the 8 oz, for instance you will get 4 uses. (2 oz per legs session x 4).
The 16 oz, 8 uses.
But that’s just the legs. What about other areas like the underarm? Let’s break it down a little more.

Underarms: Depends on your preference – Quarter sized ball to nickel or in between
Bikini area/Inner thighs: you’re going to use a ball about the size of a nickel to as little as a pencil eraser.
(*You’ll notice the new applicator has two ends – small and large rounded. You’ll want to use the small end for the bikini area.)
Chin/Jaw line: about the size of a nickel – some prefer a dime.
Upper lip: will use about the size of a dime
Eyebrows about the size of a pencil eraser

Just remember the 2 big “rules of thumb” –
#1: smaller the area smaller the ball
and
#2: more sensitive the area the smaller the ball
Hoping this finds you well and these lil tidbits are helpful!

Let’s face it, shaving sucks. Waxing is expensive. Depilatory creams are scary.

Sorry, pros, but in my own humble opinion, it’s true ~ I realize not everyone will agree with me on this point~. I could not fathom spending $60 every two to three weeks to bear the pain of waxing. It’s like masochism of some sort.

You don’t HAVE TO:

  • Put up with the daily CHORE of shaving
  • Endure itchy, dry skin, and bumps from shaving
  • Deal with Ingrown hairs!
    Or knicks from razors
  • Deal with red, irritated skin reacting to chemicals in some waxes and most creams

Who would prefer any of them?

The products go into landfills and typically have weird ingredients that you can’t pronounce. I shudder to think of where all my old razor heads are now. I learned how to sugar about eight years ago via research and experimentation and thought to myself.
